The following terms apply to parents/guardians and all club members:
I will respect the rules and procedures set down in Basketball Ireland’s Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
I will respect my child’s coaches, managers and teammates and the coaches, managers, players, and parents of opposing teams.
I will respect the officials and their authority.
I have read and agree to be bound by the rules and conditions set down by the Constitution of Athlone Basketball Club and its relevant appendages.
I have read and agree to be bound by the rules set down in Athlone Basketball Club's Child Protection Policy.
I will never demonstrate threatening or abusive behaviour or use foul language.
I understand that the Club Teams Programme occasionally includes fundraising activities.
I will not attempt to influence, pressurise, or in any way interfere with the selection process or technical aspects of any club team.
I give permission for the legitimate use of video and camera photography in the contexts of coaching and promotion of the club team and with respect to the player named. This photography may be used on the Club’s social media platforms, local media and others, as well as for coaching purposes.
I have read and agree to be bound by the rules and protocols set down by the COVID Compliance Officer with respect to COVID Return to Play (RTP) guidelines. I understand that failure to comply may result in myself or my child being denied entry to club events or termination of membership.
I give permission for my child to be tested for prohibited substances in accordance with the Irish Sports Council AntiDoping rules (for national and international competition only).
I have read and accept the conditions and rules set down by Athlone Basketball Club for players travelling to practice, games, and events.
I understand that the insurance taken out by Athlone Basketball Club is 3rd party insurance, which will not cover me (or my child) for personal injury. I understand and acknowledge that I am responsible for arranging for personal injury insurance cover myself.
I agree for my data to be collected, stored, handled, and subsequently destroyed in accordance with the Club’s Data Protection Policy and GDPR guidelines.
Members are responsible for their own personal property. Athlone Basketball Club accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to property.
Members will respect the property of Athlone Basketball Club, including rented or other property utilised by the Club for Club related activities. Members will be liable for any damaged or missing property because of their actions.
I understand that, as a member of Athlone Basketball Club, my child is also bound by all the above terms and conditions and I shall in all instances encourage my child to respect them.
