Lotto numbers drawn on Tuesday 15^th. October were 2-5-16-23 and the jackpot of €20.000 was not won. There were four match three winners, who shared €150:Bobby Phelan, Tynock (2-5-8-16); Zowie Fanning, 8 Slaney Meadows, Rathvilly (2-5-23-26); Brenda Mc Sweeney, Castledermot Rd., Baltinglass (2-10-16-23) and Clive and Louise Byrne, Rathvilly (5-8-16-23). Promoter`s prize €20 was won by Rathvilly Post Office.

Carlow Juvenile League Presentation Night in the Dolmen Hotel, Carlow. Slaney were delighted to have received two awards –

Nice One Kallan

Our very own Kallan McCabe received the award for player of the match (star player) in the DIV. 2 U14 league for a match on the 28/10/2023.        Last season Kallan played for our DIV. 1 under13 team under the management team of Christy Connors, Dylan Connors, Gary Dempsey and Amanda McCabe and also played up with the DIV. 2 under 14 team managed by Elaine O Brien, Emmet Doyle and Theresa Cullen. Kallan put in a massive effort into both team games and training last season and proved what an outstanding player he really is. To receive this award with the team above his original age group is an even bigger achievement. Kallan continues to play with his own age group U14s this season and we look forward to seeing even more successes this year from himself, his team and all out teams here at Slaney.

Fair Play Award 2023/2024

Also club Secretary Karen Kelly deserving received the Fair Play Award 2023/2024 on behalf of Slaney Rovers AFC – another first for the club.
