U12`s Progress In The Cup – the u12`s hosted Ballymurphy and only one goal separated the sides at half-time, as an early Ballymurphy effort was well saved by keeper Peter Lawlor, while at the other end, Timmy Jackson finished well on 12 minutes, following some fine build-up play by Nathan Young. After the break, Kristen Doyle`s pass sent Kallan McCabe through on goal, his pace getting him to the ball before the `keeper as he slotted into the empty net. Tomas `mossie` Keane and Will Darcy combined to set up Garrett Doyle to score off the post and later on, a fine individual effort from Kallan McCabe made it 4 nil for a deserved win.

A Team Progress In The Carlow Cup - Away at Tinahoe, against Round Tower Rovers, the lads found themselves 2-0 down, before good combination plays between Dominic Byrne and John Martin, saw the latter`s effort rebound off the post into the path of Lubohir Lesko for a simple tap-in on 35 minutes. The newly crowned league champions restored their two-goal advantage before Woolie`s effort rebounded off the crossbar and the ball fell kindly for Eoin Curran to blast home for 3 - 2 at the break. Slaney drew parity following good build up play between Lesko and Daniel O`Brien on the left wing and a fine finish from John Martin on 70 minutes. It was going to take something special to separate the sides and Lubohir Lesko delivered with a brilliant solo goal to advance to the next round.
