Another Three Precious Premier Points In The Bag - After last week`s disappointment, the seniors bounced back by collecting full points away at Dolmen Celtic. They got the perfect start when Lubomir Lesko swung a sweet cross, from the right wing and Brandon Ryan timed his run brilliantly to fire home. The lads doubled their lead two minutes later, with Robbie Ryan smashing home a long-range effort. The home side came more into the game and were rewarded for their efforts with two goals to level matters, before a determined Brandon Ryan fired home a deserved winner to claim all points.
The Highlights Of Slaney B`s Defeat To New Oak B -Great combination play between Sean Costello and Adam Martin, found John Martin in space, as he fired home Slaney opening score. Within five minutes John Martin turned provider, as he set up Adam Martin for Slaney`s second and Peter Kehoe was calmness personified, when he slotted home a clever pass from Killian Walsh in the last five minutes.
U15`s Share The Points With St. Joseph`s -The U15`s made a blistering start to this game, with Osker Breen fouled in the box and Daragh Corcoran calmly slotting home the resulting penalty after 10 minutes. They were wasteful with further chances and paid the price by conceding a late free-kick into the top corner, to share the points.
Slaney Team Of The Week. 11 - Goal Keeper: Fergal Harmon.Defence: Joe Thompson, Shane Murphy, Stephan Farrell, Rory McKernan. Midfield: Eoin Curran, Robert Ryan, John Martin. Forwards: Adam Martin, Daragh Corcoran, Brandon Ryan.
