On The Juvenile Front - A super team performance from the U12`s(Black), in defeating St. Joseph`s 4 nil. They made a blistering start to this game, with a super strike from Timmy Jackson in the opening minute. Kallan McCabe, who was instrumental in setting up the first goal, repeated the feat with another clever pass for Jackson to fire home for 2-0 at half time. After the break, Kallen McCabe, for his overall performance, got the goal he deserved for 3-0 and Orlaith Kehoe made it 4-0 with a close-range finish, to reward the efforts of Rhys Wogan, Evan McLoughlin and Thomas `Mossie` Keane.
Premier Result - A team got back to winning ways in style with a 4- 1 over Killeshin FC in Rathvilly. The lads made the perfect start when Daniel O`Brien`s speculative shot, dipped under the crossbar on five minutes. With Eoin Curran and Conor O`Brien controlling midfield, Slaney pushed on with further goals from the O`Brien`s- Conor himself and a further brace for Daniel.
On The Juvenile Front – Slaney U12`s (Green) and New Oak shared four goals and plenty of excitement In Rathvilly. Certainly, a game of two halves, as Slaney dominated early on with fine finishes from Daniel O`Neill and Dean Bowes to lead 2-0 at half time. During the break, New Oak found their shooting- boots and scored two un-answered goals. Thanks to some fine goal keeping from Riley Kennedy, Slaney earned themselves a deserved share of the points.
