 Jackpot €15,000 was not won. Lotto numbers drawn on Monday 5 July were 19, 22, 24 and 27. As there were no match three winners, €150 was shared between five lucky dips: Catherine Deering, Patrickswell, Rathvilly; Tony and Jack Keogh, 2 Parkmore, Baltinglass; Sean Leonard, Rahill; Carol Gahan, DeLacy Abbey, Rathvilly and Colette Murphy, Hacketstown. Promoter`s prize €20 was won by Jenny Donegan.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly for the last fortnight, in preparing the club`s new facilities for the start of the new season. In the opening fixture, Slaney senior`s hosted St. Joseph`s from Tinryland and they didn`t disappoint, as they christened the club`s new pitch with a 7 nil victory, with goals from Declan Brennan 2; Daniel O`Brien 2; Peter Kehoe 2 and Dominic Byrne.                                                                   And the honour of scoring the first goal went to Declan Brennan.
