Best performance from last week`s action was the U14`s in Leighlinbridge. The home side Vale Wanderers started the brighter forcing Oisin Riordan into a couple of good saves and some superb defending from Cian Weekes and Connor Doody kept the scoreline 1- 0 at the break. Whatever was said at half-time by the management, had an effect as Slaney came back strong and got the goal they deserved, following a Luca Kavanagh free kick which found Michael Ryan with space, to score from just inside the box to share the points.
