Lotto numbers drawn on Monday 24 February were 4, 16, 17 and 24. There was no jackpot winner. There were four match three winners who shared €160: Siobhan O'Reilly Porter, Slaney Meadows (03 -16 -17- 24); Nick Curry, Bough House (04 -16 -24 -28); Brendan O'Neill, 49 Parkmore (04 -11- 16 -24) and Peter O'Rourke (04 -14 -17 - 24). Promoter prize`s Jenny Donegan. After a two week break lads travelled to Dolmen Celtic in the Carlow Cup and it took penalties to decide a winner. After going close with a couple of early chances, Peter Kehoe fired Slaney ahead on the half hour. Dolmen`s response was an equaliser on the stroke of half-time. The second-half saw the lads dominate. A fine lob from Dominic Byrne rebounded off the crossbar before Lubomir Lesko carved open the Celtic defence to set up Peter for his second as Slaney retook the lead on the hour. That lead was doubled shortly afterwards when Peter turned provider for Dominic Byrne to make it 1-3. Two late strikes from Dolmen forced the game to extra time and with that failing to produce a goal, it was left to penalties to decide a winner. Fergal Harmon proved to be the match winner with three fine saves to see Slaney through to the next round. Slaney Team of the Week (18) – Feb. Keeper: Fergal Harmon.
