Lotto numbers drawn on Monday 2 December were 5, 8, 13, 29. There was no Jackpot winner. As there were no match three winners, €150 was shared between five lucky dips: Gerard Wogan, Delacy Abbey (promoter - Gearad Wogan); Margaret Gahan, Collins Park (promoter – Carol Gahan); Joe Lawlor, Father Cullen Terrace (promoter – Michael Kehoe, Post Office; Liam Lawlor, St. Patrick`s Park (promoter – Gabriel Deering) and Theresa Cullen, Delacy Abbey (promoter –Bruno`s Take Away). Promoter prize`s Molloy's Bar. On the juvenile front the U12`s hosted Bagenalstown in Rathvilly and it took a last-minute winner from Callum Brennan to claim full points. After dominating proceedings in the first-half, they eventually broke the deadlock on 14 minutes when Callum fired home from close range for 1-0. They doubled their lead mid-way into the second-half when Jack Corcoran made it 2-0 but Bagenalstown hit a purple patch and came more into the game, scoring a brace in a five-minute spell to level matters. A share of the points looked the likely outcome before Callum rifled home a last-minute winner. On Sunday morning in the Premier, Slaney A team hosted Killeshin Celtic and shared six goals in a very entertaining game. The lads made all the early running, creating chances for Aaron Broughall and Daniel O`Brien, but both shot wide when well placed. The breakthrough came on 40 minutes following a penalty, which Seanie Furlong calmly slotted home. Within five minutes Seanie turned provider for Dominic Byrne to tap home, to lead 2- 0 at the break. In the second-half it was Killeshin`s turn to dominate and they made that dominance pay with three goals before Sean Furlong fired home from close range in last five minutes to share the points. Slaney B team were in Cup action and followed up last week`s win at Baltinglass FC, with a 3-0 home win over Burrin Celtic. Slaney were at it from the start and were ahead early when Aaron Murphy`s in-swinging corner rebounded off the far post into the path of Padraig Bolger who made no mistake from close range on 20 minutes. A second goal quickly followed when Colm O`Connor produced a fine cross for Ethan Smith to smash home for 2-0 at the break. After the interval, Dermot Byrne slotted home a late penalty for 3-0 to advance to the 3rd. round of the Carlow Cup. Slaney Team of the Week (10) – Dec. Keeper: Dermot Byrne.
