Lotto numbers drawn on Monday 21 October were 13, 14, 20 and 22. There were four match three winners who shared €160: Shona Gahan, DeLacey Abbey (07-13-20-22), Alfie Sibbald, Kevin Barry Rd. (07-13-20- 22), Mike Curran, Woodgrove (06-13-14-20) and Callum Jackson Clarke, Hacketstown (03-14-20-22). Promoter prize`s Fergal Harmon. A lot of disappointed juveniles last Saturday and it had nothing to with Ireland`s performance against the All Blacks. It was the fact that there were no referees available to referee competitive games from U12 to U16 which was beyond the control of the Carlow Juvenile League itself. On Sunday there was more disappointment as Slaney suffered their first defeat in the premier division losing on their travels to Hanover Harps. The lads got off to a great start and were one up after only two minutes. After great build up play between Andy Foley and Daniel O`Brien, Aaron Broughall finished for close range. The second half saw the crossbar deny them as Dominic Byrne`s cross evaded everyone and rebounded off the goal frame. Then a 15 minute purple patch from Harps turned the game on it` s head as they hit Slaney with two goals in five minutes to take all three points. Slaney b team`s explosive start to their league campaigne with three wins on the trot, also tasted defeat on their travels to a strong Vale Wanderers second string in Leighlinbridge. A defense splitting pass from Paul Curran put Kyle Byrne in for a simple tap-in on 18 minutes. Slaney never added to that scoreline and conceded an equaliser on 46 minutes when Vale scored direct from a corner and they collected full points with a winner on 80 minutes.
