Within five minutes of the restart a clever lob from an acute angle from Daire Byrne set the lads on their way for a 4-2 win. The B team, continued their good start to the season, beating a young St. Joseph`s side. They opened the scoring through Aaron Smith from long range. Soon after, they added a second, an in-swinging corner from Kyle Byrne to the back post for Ethan Smith to outjump everyone and head home on 25 minutes. Joey`s reduced the arrears on the stroke of half time for 2-1. Within a minute of the restart, an alert Kyle Byrne intercepted a back pass to slot home for 3-1 and a sweet finish from Clive Byrne rounded off the scoring at 4-1.Slaney Team of the Week (3) - October- Keeper: Dermot Byrne.
