Lotto numbers drawn on Monday 30 September were 4, 15, 16 and 29. There was no Jackpot winner. As there were no match three winners, €150 was shared between five lucky dips: Tom Doyle, Hacketstown; Rachel O'Neill, Parkmore, Baltinglass; Martin Timmins, Woodgrove Avenue; Brian O'Donoghue, Williamstown and The Girls, c/o Leigh Byrne, Fr. On the juvenile front, a rampant first-half display by the U13`s at Hanover Harps when they ran in four goals, set them up for their first win of the season, thanks to a first-half hat trick from Darragh Corcoran. Daire Byrne went one better with a tally of four goals and Darragh Cullen made it eight in total. Of the eight goals Darragh Corcoran produced a moment of magic as he scored directly from a corner kick- a feat that has never been recorded before in the club`s juvenile records. Well done to the seniors who finished the season on a high after winning the cup final with a 2-0 win over St. Josephs in Ballon. The lads exerted a period of sustained pressure in the first half hour with no real result, although Mark Ryan forced the Joey`s goalkeeper into a good save and later on a Peter Kehoe header was cleared off the line by an alert defender. They finally broke the deadlock after ten minutes of the restart through Declan Brennan, following a pin-point corner from Owen Coleman. With ten minutes remaining, Slaney scored a decisive second goal when Owen`s cross from the left flew into the top of the net for 0-2 to lift the cup. Owen Coleman was deservedly awarded the man of the match trophy. Slaney Team of the Week (2) - Sept. Keeper: Bryce Gardiner. Defenders: Callum O Connor; Cian Weekes; Oisin Reardon and Owen Colman.
