The lotto jackpot of €2,300 was not won. The numbers drawn were 05, 14, 15 and 29 . As there were no match three winners, €150 was shared between five lucky dips: Manus Molloy, Rathvilly; Joseph Donegan, Collins Park, Rathvilly; Anna Mai Byrne, Knockevagh, Rathvilly; Kenn Cassells, Knocklishen, Rathvilly and Chris Maher, Tullow. Promoter Prize: Gabriel Deering. The seniors made it four wins on the trot defeating Castle Rangers 8 nil in Rathvilly. A first half hat-trick from Seanie Furlong was the highlight of the first half. The in-form striker scored two from the penalty spot on 20 and 40 minutes and in-between these he got on the end of a long throw from Daniel O`Brien to head home on 35 minutes. Just before the break a free kick from Eoin Curran caused havoc in the Rangers defense and Aaron Broughall capitalised to score. Stephen Farrell and Andy Foley added to Slaney`s tally before Furlong netted his fourth (his third from the penalty spot) and a peach of a long-range effort from Foley rounded off the scoring on the day that Eoin Curran made his 60th senior appearance. On the juvenile front despite conceding after five minutes, U12`s put in a sterling performance winning 4- 2 with goals from Kevin Lambe 2, Daragh and Conal Cullen.  |
