Data Protection Information

The Club and the GAA are joint Data Controllers of the personal data on this form (“Personal Data”). The legal basis for processing your Personal Data is that it is necessary for the performance of a contract and the purposes are; in order to register and maintain your membership with the Club and the GAA.

Your Personal Data can be accessed by certain members of the County Boards, Provincial Boards and National Administrative function in Croke Park. In the event of an injury or insurance claim, details of your claim which will include your Personal Data will be passed to the GAA’s insurance underwriters. I understand that: the Personal Data will be used by the Club and the GAA for the contractual purpose of registering (or re-registering) and maintaining my Membership; the Personal Data will also be used for administrative purposes to maintain my Membership including registrations, team-sheets, referee reports, disciplinary matters, Injury Reports, transfers, sanctions, permits, fundraisers, statistical purposes, and for the purposes of communicating updates about matches, meetings, Club news and events; the Personal Data will be retained by the Club and the GAA for, such period as my Membership subsists and for a period thereafter in line with legal obligations and other requirements;

I can resign my Membership by writing to the Club or the GAA; we will need to retain your Personal Data after your Membership ceases, however only where it is necessary to do so.

If I do not provide my Personal Data my Membership cannot be registered with the Club and the GAA. I will inform the Club and the GAA of any changes to the personal data above.

You have the right to request a copy of all of your Personal Data and can do by contacting the Club Secretary (secretary.kevins.dublin@gaa.ie) or the Data Protection Officer of the GAA (dataprotection@gaa.ie).

You have the right to have your Personal Data updated, rectified, or deleted. You have the right to object to your Personal Data being processed and to withdraw your consent to processing; you can do so by contacting us (secretary.kevins.dublin@gaa.ie).

Further information about your rights, or you wish to make a complaint or report a breach, you can contact the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, Canal House, Station Road, Portarlington, Co. Laois, (www.dataprotection.ie).

If you provide Personal Data about another individual, e.g. another parent or guardian or minor on this form, you must have obtained this person’s consent and have made them aware of the terms of this Membership.
