Divisions:
Ladies’ Open/A Singles:
Players must be eligible to play in Inter County Senior & Intermediate Championship Grade. Also includes players who have previously won the Ladies’ B competition.
Ladies’ B Singles:
Players must be eligible to play in Junior B or Junior Championship Grade. Players must not have won Ladies' Open Singles, A Singles, B Singles, 19&U or 17&U in Irish Nationals or World Championships.
Ladies’ Challenger Singles:
Players must have not won a provincial title at juvenile or adult level in any grade/code. Entrants to this grade will be assessed regarding eligibility. Players also may not have won the Ladies’ Challenger in a prior year. For women who are playing for more than one year.
Mothers and Other’s Singles:
For beginners who have been playing less than a year.
Mother and Daughter, A Doubles:
Any combination of grades and ages of Mother and Daughter.
Mother and Daughter, B Doubles:
Mothers must be a maximum of B Grade; Daughters must qualify to play in Under 13
U11, U13, U15 and U17 girl’s singles: Players must be Under the age limit as of the 1st of January.
Girls Under 17 Singles players must not have celebrated their 17th birthday prior to the 1st of January 2025.
Girls Under 15 Singles players must not have celebrated their 15th birthday prior to the 1st of January 2025.
Girls Under 13 Singles players must not have celebrated their 13th birthday prior to the 1st of January 2025.
Girls Under 11 Singles players must not have celebrated their 11th birthday prior to the 1st of January 2025.
Formats:
Open/A players are put into 4 groups:
- Each group will comprise players from different seeded pots – Pot 1, Pot 2, Pot 3, Pot 4 etc. Based off National rankings.
- Each group plays off against the players in their group.
- Format of 1 game to 21.
- A player gets 2 points if they win their game, they get 1 point if they get 11 or more points in the game.
- Player who has most points in their group plays the Cup semi-finals (2 games to 15, tiebreaker to 11).
- Player who is second in the group plays in the Shield Competition semi-final (1 game to 21).
- Player who is third in the group plays the Plate competition semi-final (1 game to 21).
- Player who is fourth in the group plays the Plate competition semi-final (1 game to 21).
- Dark Blue Ball.
B Players are put into Two groups:
- Each group will comprise players from different seeded pots – Pot 1, Pot 2, Pot 3, Pot 4 etc based of National Rankings.
- Each group plays off against the players in their group.
- Format of 1 game to 21.
- A player gets 2 points if they win their game, they get 1 point if they get 11 or more points in the game.
- Top two players in each group qualify for Semi-Finals.
- 3rd & 4th place players qualify for Plate Semi-Final.
- Dark Blue Ball.

- Challenger 2 Ball.
Mother and Daughter, A Doubles (Sunday Only):
- Split into divisions according to Mothers and daughters playing grade/ability.
- One game to 21, Rally scoring, Straight Knockout.
- Dark Blue Ball.
Mother and Daughter, B Doubles (Sunday Only):
- Split into divisions according to Mothers and daughters playing grade/ability.
- One game to 21, Rally scoring, Straight Knockout.
- Challenger 2.
U11, U13 Girls Players are put into Two groups:
- Each group plays off against the players in their group.
- Format of 1 game to 15.
- A player gets 2 points if they win their game, they get 1 point if they get 11 or more points in the game.
- Top two players in each group qualify for Semi-Finals.
- Semi-finals 2 games 15 and tiebreaker 11.
- 5 Serve Rule implemented. Players take it in turns to serve five consecutive serves.
- U13 Dark Blue Ball.
- U11 Challenger 2 Ball.
U15, U17 Girls Format Players are put into Two groups:
- Each group plays off against the players in their group.
- Format of 1 game to 15.
- A player gets 2 points if they win their game, they get 1 point if they get 11 or more points in the game.
- Top two players in each group qualify for Semi-Finals.
- 3rd & 4th place players qualify for Plate Semi-Final.
- Semi-finals 2 games 15 and tiebreaker 11.
- Dark Blue Ball.
