Glenbeigh Falcons Code of Conduct

Role of the club
All players are encouraged to learn and play basketball in a safe and friendly environment. Each player is encouraged to participate, make friends, and have fun.
The code of good behaviour for players outlines the rules and procedures which should be observed and practised by Glenbeigh Falcons players to ensure that everyone will enjoy their involvement with the club.

General code
1.    Respect, courtesy, and honesty are required of every member of the club.
2.    All players must be registered as members of the club on an annual basis with their parents’ consent and signature.
3.    Respect must always be shown for  team mates, coaches, officials, referees, parents, guardians, opponents and visitors.
4.    Glenbeigh Falcons players must always respect club property and should have regard for their own and others personal belongings.
5.    Crude or offensive language is not accepted.
6.    Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
7.    The use of mobile phones in dressing rooms / changing areas is prohibited
8.    Playing time for players is at the discretion of the coach, (while complying with KABB rules)
9.    Players are encouraged to practice the basic skills of basketball in their spare time.
10.    Parents or guardians that may want to discuss any issues that may arise are welcome to do so before or after training sessions. Coaches are not to be contacted about matters arising outside of these times.
11.    All members accept responsibility for their own personal possessions
12.    All parent or guardians are welcome to attend or help out with the many tasks in facilitating the running of a basketball club.
13.    Parents or guardians who supervise training sessions must be Garda vetted as required by Basketball Ireland. This can be done online: basketballireland.ie
