Welcome to Streete Bowls Club.
Streete Bowls Club was founded in 2005 by the current presidents Roy Jones and Don Heard. The club started with eight members and in the intervening years, the membership has increased to over thirty members. The club has participated in various competitions down the years and has taken part in the Westmeath League since 2006. Since then Streete Bowls Club has gone from strength to strength and competed in many winning competitions over the years. For the past seven years, the Streete club has hosted the Westmeath Singles competition. In 2009 the competition was won outright by the current chairman Martin Gaynor. In addition to the Singles competition, the Streete Bowls club also hosts the Westmeath Ladies competition for the Mary O'Hara Memorial Shield. We are delighted to have a strong Ladies team all of which have made a tremendous contribution to our club. Bowling takes place in Streete Parish Park Community Centre every Tuesday night. Our Complex is a wonderful facility. The hall is very spacious and can hold twelve mats comfortably. Taking part in Bowls at our club is a fun way of relaxing and enjoying yourself, it makes a lovely social night where everyone displays their bowling skills good or bad followed by some welcome refreshments, with a bit of banter and good old fun thrown in. You are welcome to come and have a look for yourself and we will gladly show you how the game is played and hopefully, if you like what you see we might encourage you to join us.
