Clonmore 4-14
Fighting Cocks 0-4
With Clonmore already through to the semi-finals and the Fighting Cocks in the relegation play-off, this game had no effect on either team’s placings in the Group.
The game was played in a torrential downpour from start to finish and Clonmore lead by 1-7 to 0-0 at half-time, their goal coming from Con Murphy in the 8th minute.
Clonmore never took their foot off the pedal and went on to score three more second half goals through Robert Bulmer on 33 minutes, Tom Pollard on 43 minutes and a screamer from Con Murphy on 44 minutes.
Clonmore will know their Semi-Final opponents after the Quarter-Finals next Friday evening in Netwatch Cullen Park - Leighlinbridge V Old Leighlin (7.15pm) and Palatine V Tinryland (8.45pm). Group winners, Clonmore and Ballon, will be kept apart in the Semi-Final draw.
