Clonmore v Leighlinbridge

Clommore and Leighlinbridge got their 2022 Junior A campaigns underway , when they met in Ballinaboley last Friday evening. The sides have met on a number of occasions this year, and this game followed a similar pattern to what had gone before . The away side dominated the opening exchanges and raced in to a 1-4 to a point lead within the first 10 minutes and continued to tag on scores, despite the work being put in by the home team. Leighlinbridge found it very difficult to break the Clonmore lines and the conversion of a penalty in the 21st minute effectively ended the game , with the half time score being Clonmore 3 -7 Leighlinbridge 5 points.

The second half was largely similar to the first, with the visitors adding 9 points to their tally, whilst Leighlinbridge managed a further 3 on what was a difficult outing for them against a dominant Clonmore side.
