St. Patricks GAA Club

We extend the sympathy of St. Patricks GAA club to the Family of the late Pat (Paddy Junior) Meagher of Cloneen House. With his father Paddy Senior having won Co. Senior Football finals in 1947 and 1953 and also played for Tipperary senior footballers, it was no surprise that his sons Paddy and Henry played football and hurling for St. Patricks at a high level. Paddy Junior first came under notice when he lined out at centre-field on the St. Patricks Under 14 team defeated by Ballyporeen in the South Tipperary football final in 1972. In the following years Paddy played under 16, minor and under 21 before graduating to the Intermediate football team in 1978 with whom he played for several years. May the soul of Paddy Meagher rest in peace.
