     Tinryland GFC club notes October 12th, 2025

The season ended on a disappointing note at the weekend when our No. 1 team lost its senior status after 20 years despite a trojan effort in the relegation play off against Eire Og at Netwatch Cullen park. The concession of 3 goals to the men from Teach Asca proved to be the difference in the end and Tinryland will now compete in the Carlow Intermediate championship in 2026.

There was disappointment also for our 2nd adult team in the Talbot Hotel JFC (B) semi-final replay against Clonmore played at the Netwatch training Centre on Friday with the men in blue and white losing out by 5 points to the team from the Wicklow border.  

The club lotto jackpot still stands at €10,000 and can be played online via the clubforce app or by purchasing a ticket from any committee member. Last weeks lucky dip winners were Martin Clancy, Anne Purcell, John Calvey and Niall Delaney.
