Tinryland G.F.C. Club Notes May 5th 2024
It was a quiet week on the playing front at both adult and juvenile level. The senior league game away to Bagenalstown Gaels was postponed on Friday last and will be played at a later date. Tinryland seniors will be back in action on Sunday next 12th May at home to our neighbours Palatine in round 7 of the S.F.L div 1 at 6 p.m. This game will double as the Andy Murphy shield final in aid of Carlow Hospice.
At juvenile level this coming week will be busy. Tinryland U18s will be in action on Tomorrow Monday 6th May in the Cental U18 spring league at home to Fenagh at 7 p.m.
Our U15 team will host Bagenalstown Gaels in division 3 of the Feile Peil na nOg on this coming Thursday 9th May at 7 p.m. Further Feile games against Clonmore and Asca will take place in McGrath Park Bagenalstown commencing at 6.30 p.m. on Friday next 10th May.
The Feile team were presented with their kit at a function in the club on Friday 26th April when 8 teams took part in a fundraising quiz.
On Saturday next both of our U12 squads will host Eire Og in Rathcrogue commencing at 2 p.m.
Great progress is being made for the upcoming 96 team underage South East tournament that will take place in Tinryland G.F.C. over 3 weekends in late June and early July. To date 92 teams have entered with 4 more spots available. Contact Peter Scully at 087 6992067 for further details.
Tinryland G.F.C. chairman Bernard Mullen was featured on the latest installment of the Across the four lakes podcast hosted by Kieran Murphy.
The club lotto jackpot currently stands at €7000 and can be played online via the club force app. Please note that the lotto on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May will be held at the later time of 9.30 p.m. Last weeks lucky dip winners were Eamonn Byrne, Cormac Walshe, John Barrett and John Farrell.
