MULTY PLAYERS KEEPING BUSY
Our Multy players are certainly keeping themselves busy during the close season. Here's what they're up to.
Cathal Bawle, Lorcan O'Mara, Scott Murray and the Colaiste Mhuire hurling team had a great victory over St Benildus in the Leinster Championship last week.They now play St.Fintan's Sutton in the quarter final on Tuesday Jan 25th at 11.30 in Leixlip. We had two of our players in Sigerson Cup action again last week. Jamie Coffey and the Maynooth team beat TUD while Aran Whelan and the Carlow IT team beat Sligo IT. Both their teams have now qualified for round 3 which will be played this week and we wish them the very best of luck. Shane Whyte was victorious in his Leinster Championship handball match at the weekend. Shane Williams was on the Westmeath Senior hurling team for their Kehoe Cup victory over Kildare and finally Gareth Mullaniff started midfield and captained the Westmeath minor team in their recent challenge match.
