St Lomans GAA Club Notes 08/01/2024:
Dinner Dance:
A big thanks to everybody who attended our dinner dance last Saturday in the Bloomfield House Hotel. It was great to celebrate our men’s senior championship success, our ladies division 2 success and mark the ten year anniversary of our 2013 Flanagan cup winners.
Thanks to the Bloomfield House Hotel and their staff for hosting us and taking care of us on the night. Thank you to our band for the night “Get Hitched” forproviding us with some great music. Thanks to our MC for the night Will O’Callaghan who was excellent as well. Finally a thank you to everybody who helped organise the event but particularly to Alan Bracken for all his work behind the scenes.

Referee Course:
Westmeath County Board are looking for referees ahead of the new season. Each club has been tasked with recruiting at least 2 new referees (male or female) who must be aged 18 upwards (out of the U18 playing grade) who hasn’t refereed competitive games previously.
They will be asked to referee U12 games in their home club on Friday evenings and will receive €30 per game. The county board are running a referee’s course for all new candidates in the coming weeks, and they’ll be provided with all the gear they’ll need afterwards.
