Clarkes Bar Junior Championship Semi-Final:

Our Junior Championship campaign ended last weekend. Unfortunately, we just didn’t turn up on the day and were second best in Ballynacargy to a strong Bunbrosna team. Despite the results we have made tremendous strides in the Junior Championship over the last two years. The Junior Championship has proved to be an excellent opportunity for players on the fringes of the senior team to impress. Finishing as runners up in 2020 and beaten semi-finalist in 2021 is a big achievement. We have an extremely young side with endless potential along with some experienced heads which will no doubt see us continue to compete over the next few years. A big thank you to all our players for their commitment over the year, we played some great football in the group stage, topping our group with tremendous attacking football. Finally, a big thanks to the management team of Robbie Kenny, David Geoghegan, Mark Breslin, Nigel Hogan and Richie Cleary for devoting so much time and effort to the lads this year.

These finals are always tight affairs, so we need every advantage we want to witness a sea of blue in TEG Cusack Park next weekend. Hopefully the Flanagan Cup will be staying in Lakepoint Park for another year!
