Clonmore GFC

Clonmore’s 2^nd team got their Div 5 campaign underway in Woodside on Wednesday evening last against Leighlinbridge. Despite possibly a bit of early season rustiness, this proved to be a competitive and entertaining fixture, with both sides scoring 12 times over the 60 minutes. The sides were never more than a couple of points apart and the game was levelled on a couple of occasions, including in the final few minutes, however Clonmore managed to tag on the last 2 points that pushed them over the line. Overall on the night the home team were full value for the win, but credit to Leighlinbridge who played some good football and pushed all the way.
