Congratulations and well done to Caoimhe Ryan of Knockelly Drangan on being appointed to run the line at the All Ireland Senior Ladies Football Final on Sunday last in Croke Park. This is not the first time Caoimhe was selected to do the line in an All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football Final, but a few years ago she withdrew in the interest of Fair Play as her First Cousin Máire O Shaughnessy was on the Meath team that was victorious that day. Caoimhe created a record on Sunday last as she was the third person from South Tipperary to run the line in a senior all Ireland final in as many weeks. Michael Kennedy from Newcastle had been on duty in the Senior Hurling final two weeks previously and Derek O’Mahoney from Ardfinnan had been on the line for the senior men’s football final a week earlier. Well done Caoimhe.
