Tinryland G.F.C. club notes 11th August 2024
It was a disappointing week on the underage playing front with all 3 of our teams losing their games.
Our U16 and U18 teams were well beaten by St. Martins while our U14 team were unlucky to come away from Clonmore with a 1- point loss having shipped 5 goals in a high scoring game.
Tinryland U18s will be back in action on this Monday evening at home to Eire Og at 7 p.m.
The U16 team will be back in action on Thursday 22nd August away to Bagenalstown Gaels.
The Michael Lyng Motors Carlow S.F.C is fast approaching as is the Carlow Junior football championship. Tinryland seniors will begin their S.F.C. campaign against Old Leighlin in Netwatch Cullen Park on Friday 23rd August at 8.30 p.m. Our junior team will be at home to The Fighting Cocks on the following evening at 7 p.m.
Well done to Bennekerry/Tinryland senior ladies who began the defence of their Carlow S.F.C. title with a comfortable win over Eire Og on Saturday last.
The next meeting to progress the proposed trip to New York during Easter week 2025 will now take place on Tuesday 20th August at 9 p.m. All those interested in making the trip should attend this meeting where further details regarding costs etc will be announced.
The club lotto jackpot currently stands at €8400 and can be played online via the clubforce app or by purchasing a ticket for the Monday evening draw from any committee member. Last week’s lucky dip winners were: Caroline Byrne, Tom Delaney, Martin Clancy and Caroline Fields.
