                  Tinryland G.F.C. Club Notes 4th August 2024

The proposed trip to New York during Easter week 2025 got the green light from a well- attended meeting in the club on Tuesday last. To date over 50 players and club members have expressed an interest in travelling. The next meeting to progress the trip will take place on Tuesday 13th August at 9 p.m. Further details from Peter at 087 6992067.

It was another quiet week on the playing front. Our U18 team were well beaten by St. Martins on Monday last. The U18s will be back in action at home to Eire Og on Monday 12th August at 7 p.m.

Our U16 team were once again denied a game when the fixture against Castledermot was postponed for the 2nd time on Thursday last. The U16s will be away to St. Martins in the Fighting Cocks on this Thursday 8th August at 7 p.m.

Tinryland U14 team will travel to Hacketstown on this coming Wednesday 7th August for a game with Clonmore. The throw in for this fixture is timed for 7 p.m.

One of our club’s main fundraisers is the club development draw in conjunction with Carlow Co. GAA board. The tickets for this years draws which take place during August, September, October and November have now been distributed. All members, players and supporters are asked to sell a minimum of two tickets each so that our target is met.

A major photographic exhibition will be held in Tinryland Parish Hall on the weekend of 23rd to 25th August capturing Tinryland’s rich history, heritage and community past and present and our club will feature prominently in the exhibition which will be launched on Friday 23rd August. Further details from Liam at 086 0719283.

Our club lotto jackpot stands at €8300 and can be played online via the club force app or by purchasing a ticket for the Monday evening draw from any committee member.

Last weeks lucky dip winners were: Barry Power, Bernie Whelan, Eamonn Byrne and John Delaney.
