On Saturday last Oran Gahan and his colleagues travelled to Templetuohy where they took on Westmeath in the semi-final of the Seamus Heaney cup. Having played with a strong wind in the first half Tipp led by 0-9 to 0-7 at half time, with Oran doing well at midfield. Westmeath made good use of the wind in the second half and eventually won by 3-19 to 0-10. This marks the end of a busy and successful season for Oran Gahan with the Tipperary minor footballers.
