Tinryland G.F.C. Club Notes 5th June 2023
It was a quiet week on the playing front with only one team from the club in action. On Thursday last our U15 team travelled to Rathvilly and came away with a comfortable victory over the home side.
Jonah Dunne and Paddy Regan were part of the Carlow panel that defeated Longford in the Tailteann cup in Portlaoise on Sunday last. Tinryland G.F.C. extends best wishes to the 2 lads and the Carlow team for this coming weekends game at home to New York.
With exams now on the horizon there is only one juvenile game listed for this week with our U13 team travelling to play O’Hanrahans on this Wednesday evening 7th June at 7 p.m.
At adult level Tinryland juniors will contest the Division 3 shield final on this coming Sunday 11th June at 12 noon against our neighbours The Fighting Cocks. When these sides met in the league proper Tinryland prevailed by the minimum and a great game is anticipated at the Training centre on Sunday next.
The Division 1 final between Tinryland and Eire Og has been deferred to a suitable date for both teams that has yet to be decided.
Ticket sales for the upcoming club development draw in conjunction with Carlow Co. board are progressing well and a meeting to update figures will be held on this coming Thursday 8th June at 8 p.m. The club lotto jackpot now stands at €2200 and can be played via the club force app or by purchasing a ticket from any committee member.
