CAMOGIE FIRST FOR CLUB: A historic day for Eiré Óg Greystones with our first every participation in a camogie tournament which was hosted by Glenealy. We entered 2 teams, 1 at under 8 and 1 under 10, the 8’s played Glenealy and Avondale, and the 10’s played Bray, Glenealy and Avondale. The standard of hurling was high and our girls played with steely determination and great skill. Our opponents were all surprised with the ability shown and commented that the preconception that we might be a couple of months getting up to standard was incorrect, they did themselves and our club proud.
