Glory for U15 Ladies Footballers: What a great day our U15 ladies footballers had at the Wicklow Féile today. They beat hosts Bray Emmets in a nail-biting final by one-point to book their place in the Leinster Féile. They also played St Nick’s and Kilcoole along the way. Captain Thea accepted the cup on behalf of the team.
Cork Marathon in memory of David O'Regan: On 2 June, 25 club mates and family of the late and much loved David O’Regan are doing the Cork half/marathon. For those who are new the club, Dave died suddenly in 2002. Originally from Cork, David settled in Greystones and joined our club where he selflessly volunteered his time to all aspects of club activities.
We are raising money for the club and for the Wicklow Rapid Response Wicklow Rapid Response which is a voluntary charity working in partnership with and supporting the existing Emergency Services. If you’d like to, you can donate HERE
Important notice: For games played in at Pairc Mhic Suain/De Barra (U15 - adult) on the main pitch where the full pitch is used, coaches, medical assistance and players are the only permitted members to stand pitch side. All other members or spectators must remain outside the fence in place and NEVER enter the field of play. The club disciplinary committee will be asked to investigate any reports of unauthorised entry to the playing field by referees.
13 club players in camogie county action: THIRTEEN, that’s how many U14 camogie players from the club we had involved for the Wicklow U14 county development games against Louth, Kildare and Meath. What an amazing testament this is, not just to the girls but to their coaches too. Well done to all!
Weekly lotto: Please do consider supporting our weekly lotto. It’s the main way we manage to keep our membership fees down compared to others. The weekly cash prize winners were Audrey O’Sullivan and Emer Carey. Tomorrow night’s jackpot is €7,900. Tickets at https://eireoggreystones.com/club-lotto/
Yours in sport,
Daniel English, pro.eireoggreystones.wicklow@gaa.ie
