Welcome to this week’s club news, Great day for Wicklow and our club: Wicklow adult men’s footballers had a great victory over Westmeath in the Leinster Championship yesterday. It was also a great day for four of our U13 boys footballers Andrew, Noah, John and Rafa who played for Wicklow Cumann na mBunscol at halftime. Our club player Joe Prendergast played very well for Wicklow when he was introduced and he kindly posed for some photos with some young supporters from our club. Looking forward to taking on Kildare in the next round! 
Senior men’s hurlers and footballers on the double: Both our adult men’s hurlers and footballers recorded good victories in the last week. Yesterday, our hurlers chalked up their first victory in this year’s Wicklow league thanks to a three-point home victory against Kiltegan. Last weekend, our footballers maintained their 100% league record with a comprehensive victory over An Tochar. Read a report from the footballers’ victory HERE. Barry and son in hurling win: It was a proud day for the Barry family on Wednesday when dad Mark and son Johsua lined out together for our junior hurlers in a victory against Kilcoole. Mark tells us that their combined score for the match was 2-03 and their combined age was 64! Huge congrats to both. 
GAA for Dads and Lads: Our Dads and Lads programme is for those of a certain vintage keen to enjoy Gaelic Games outside the traditional competitive structures of the GAA. Last Friday, our intrepid group travelled to Bray to play in a friendly match. It was great fun, although there were a few sore bodies in the morning.
