Welcome to this week’s club news, County calls: In the last week, we’ve had lots of players from the club wear the Wicklow jersey across men’s football, ladies football and adult and juvenile hurling. It’s hard to pick anyone out but a special mention goes to Jack and Sal who played their first ever matches for Wicklow today when they lined out for the U14 hurlers against Meath and to Lauren and Thea who played for Wicklow U16 ladies footballers in their Leinster Championship win against Offaly in the Leinster Championship. Adult men’s footballers win again: It’s five wins from five in division one of the adult men’s football league. The 100% record was maintained thanks to a comprehensive victory against Roundwood on Friday night. The next assignment for this team is an away match against Avondale on Sunday week. You can read a match report from their win last week against Bray Emmets HERE. Adult camogie team bow out: Our adult camogie team travelled to Wexford yesterday to do battle against Kilrush in a Leinster League semi-final. Unfortunately, it wasn't our day, and that's our Leinster league campaign finished for 2024. Wicklow league kicks off this coming week, so there is no time to sit back and relax. But as always, these amazing women left nothing behind them, and no more could be asked. Weekly lotto: Please don’t forget our weekly fundraising lotto. The current jackpot stands at €7,500. Match all four numbers and the prize is yours. Last week’s winning numbers were 15, 17, 18 and 29. The weekly cash prize winners were Susan Smullen and Ed Johnson. This week, they put in an excellent display and came out on top against Luke O'Tooles. There was a great work rate throughout the match, and we're looking forward to following the team's progress this season!
