Welcome to this week’s club news,

Senior Men’s Footballers Draw Again: For the second consecutive match our men’s senior footballers’ championship match finished level. After drawing with the county champions St Pat’s the previous week, last Sunday, they repeated the trick against last year’s beaten finalists Baltinglass.

In another similarity to last week, they found themselves several points down in the second half but clawed their way back to finish level. Tomorrow, (Saturday) they face Rathnew in their third group game. The match throws in at 6 pm in Aughrim. Read a report from the Baltinglass match HERE

Weekly Lotto: Our weekly jackpot is creeping up and up. It now stands at the princely sum of €4,500. Just match the winning four numbers and the dosh is years. Last week’s winning numbers were 5, 9, 10 & 15. The weekly cash prize winners were Dermot Blake and Anne Reid. Get your €2 tickets HERE.

Junior Camogie Team Maintains 100% Record: It’s now two championship wins from two for our adult camogie team. They made the long trip to the Wexford border to face Carnew last Friday. By all accounts, it was a belter of a game. They even managed to stop off for a well-deserved break on the way home!

Minor Hurlers Win Again: Our minor hurlers are on a great championship run. On Wednesday, they fought an intense battle against Luke O’Tooles with our lads coming out on top by a single point on a scoreline of 2-16:3-12. On a warm evening saw a thrilling contest between these teams, an excellent hurling spectacle for spectators to enjoy. Read a match report HERE.

Summer’s Out: Our successful Summer Camps concluded last week with our camogie and hurling camp taking place. We had lots of happy children and coaches who really enjoyed the week and improved their skills too. A big thanks to our Games Promotion Officers, Sean O’Sullivan and Aoife Murphy. Until next Summer!
