Welcome to this week’s club news,

Senior Men’s Footballers Draw: Three consecutive points towards the end of the second half secured a draw for our senior men’s footballers in the opening championship match against holders St Pat’s last weekend. The lads showed real resilience and fortitude to bridge the three-point deficit to leave the final score at ten points each. They play last year’s beaten finalists Baltinglass, tomorrow, (13th) in Aughrim at 5pm. Read a match report of the St Pat’s match HERE.

Adult Camogie Team Hit Opponents for Six: Scoring six goals will usually win any game and this was the case for our adult camogie team in their opening championship match against Knockananna last week at Páirc Mhic Shuain-de Barra. The goals came courtesy of Clodagh Kinesewitz (2), Angela O’Leary (2) and one each from Amy Kavanagh and Grainne Magennety. Read a match report HERE

Trip to All-Ireland Camogie Finals: We’d a great day out last Sunday at the All-Ireland Camogie finals in Croke Park. Eighty or so intrepid souls boarded a bus from the clubhouse to Dublin. Despite the rain, everybody had a great time. Big thanks to Helen O’Driscoll and her organising team for arranging everything so well.
