Welcome to this week’s club news,
Championship Glory for Intermediate Men’s Footballers: We’re back up to the senior ranks thanks to last weekend’s glorious victory by our men’s intermediate footballers. They put in a gritty display to see off a dogged Annacurra side in Aughrim. Although the game was close enough on the scoreboard throughout, the lads always looked to have the upper hand and carved out a four-point victory. They now begin their Leinster campaign next weekend with an away match against the Carlow champions. Read a match report HERE and see some photos HERE.
Adult Camogie Championship Joy: Our men’s footballers were far from the only team to taste championship success this week. Our hard-working adult camogie team got their just desserts for several years of hard work by winning the junior B county title. They comprehensively saw off Ballinacor in Arklow. This team really deserves this title, they’ve been soldiering away for several years now. Lots of the team’s players are also club coaches and serve on the team’s executive committee. Weekly Fundraising Lotto: How does €3,000 sound? Well, that's the jackpot is this Monday’s club lotto. All you have to do is match four numbers and it’s yours! Last week’s winning digits were 4, 7, 9 & 22. The weekly cash prize winners were Larry Howard and Sinead Fox. Get your €2 tickets HERE
U16 Ladies Footballers Tough it Out: What's that they say about championships being like buses? You want an age for one and then THREE come along in one weekend! Last Sunday in Laragh, our U16 ladies footballers defied the awful weather to win the B football championship beating Valleymount 4-05:3-06. Contrast the "before" and "after" team photos. Nobody can accuse the girls of not getting stuck in! Read a match report HERE.

Fixtures: We’re coming to the end of our season now, but there are still plenty of teams in final action in the remaining few weeks. We have our third adult men’s football team in final action tomorrow (Sunday) and our U13 hurlers on Monday. We also had several other teams in finals last week but we wanted to spread out the good news, so read next week’s newsletter for more updates!
