Welcome to this week’s club news,
D-Day for Intermediate Men’s Footballers: Tomorrow, (Saturday) is the big one for our intermediate adult men’s team as they bid to regain their senior status. The match throws in at 4:30 pm in Aughrim against Annacurra. The lads will need all your support if they’re to come away with a victory. There is a supporters’ bus travelling to the match leaving the clubhouse at 2:45 pm. It costs €5 and you can book your place via
If you really can’t get to the match, it’s available to watch on Wicklow TV https://officialwicklowgaa.ie/wicklow-gaa-tv/
U14 Ladies Footballers Perform Lazarus-like Comeback: A ten-point halftime deficit may not have been part of the plan but is certainly added to the excitement as our ladies U14 ladies footballers claimed the county “A” championship title for the first time in the club’s history. It was looking ominous at the break, but we shouldn’t have ever doubted this remarkable group. They kept their opponents scoreless in the second half to win by two points. Read a match report HERE.
More Big Match Action: Saturday’s final is far from the only big match this weekend; we’ve got adult and juvenile final and semi-final action on Sunday:
- Junior B men’s football semi-final, 11 am v Bray Emmets in Rathew
- Junior B adult camogie final, 12pm v Ballinacor in Arklow
- U16 ladies football B final, 1:30 pm v Valleymount in Laragh
Junior Hurling Team just Pipped: Our second adult hurling team lost out by just two points to Avondale in the junior C final last weekend on a score line of 1-15:1-13. In a really spirited display with a high level of skill, the lads gave it their all. Read a match report HERE

Weekly Lotto: Our fundraising lotto hasn’t been won in a while. Last week’s winning numbers were 1, 5, 12 & 20. The weekly cash prize winners were Mikey Stafford and Sarah Farrell. Monday’s jackpot is €2,900. Get your €2 tickets HERE
Lost and Found Morning: There’s any amount of jerseys, tops, gloves, water bottles etc in the clubhouse that has behind left behind in recent months. This Saturday (8th) morning is your last chance to reclaim them.
Yours in sport,
