Welcome to this week’s club news, Academy Returns: It was great to have the nursey back this morning. The nursey caters for boys and girls born in 2015/6/7. It teaches them the skills of football and hurling in a fun, non-competitive environment. This morning we had nice weather, big numbers, lots of fun! https://eireoggreystones.com/juvenile-information-2022/ Adult men’s footballers back in action: Our Junior A (second) adult men’s football team defeated Blessington in their season league opener last night. They came out on top 2-07:1-05. Our intermediate (first team) will hope to make it two wins from two when they face Bray at home tomorrow at 11 am. The fixtures and results page of the website has adult and juvenile football, hurling, and football fixtures and results as they become available https://eireoggreystones.com/fixtures-results/ Scór: For the first time, the club is entering Scór-a GAA competition that combines all the colour and rivalry of Gaelic Games with the social/fun element of Ireland's traditional past-times.The club held a selection event for 2022 Scór Na Nóg this week at the clubhouse. The clubhouse was filled with song and the sounds of tin whistles, concertinas and bodhrans. Ailbhe Davis, Seosamh Óg Ó Dálaigh, Caoilfhionn Ní Dhálaigh & Siún Ní Dhálaigh played a couple of lively polkas. Shane and Luna Keenan played a lovely jig and polka set. Weekly lotto: Please do consider supporting our weekly fundraising lotto as it’s our main source of income outside of membership. Last week’s winning numbers were 2, 13, 18 & 20. The weekly cash prize winners were Yvonne McDonald and David O’Neill. This week’s jackpot is €6,000. Get your tickets HERE. Gaelic for Mothers and Others (G4M&O) is Back: Great fun was had by our G4M&O gang on their return to action this week. If you'd like to play Gaelic football in a fun environment, make new friends and have a laugh then come along next Tuesday. No experience necessary!
