Welcome to this week’s club news, Club players lead Wicklow to promotion: While unfortunately club games are suspended for public health reasons, inter-county matches are still taking place. Today (Saturday), Wicklow senior men’s footballers gained promotion to division 3 of the league with a great away victory over Wexford. A big congrats to all the squad and especially to club players Darren Hayden, Daniel Keane and Fintan O’Shea. They actually face the same opposition in the opening round of the Leinster Championship next weekend.  Weekly lotto: Please do consider supporting our weekly fundraising lotto. It is our main fundraiser and enables us to keep membership rates down. Last week’s winning numbers were 2,10, 20 & 27. The weekly cash prize winners were Larry Browne and Niamh Sherlock. Wicklow minors defeat Longford: In other positive news on the county scene, club player Joe Prendergast bagged two goals as Wicklow defeated Longford in the first round of the Leinster Championship.
