Welcome to this week’s club news,

U14 Camogie Team Make History: Our U14 camogie team played their final group match last Monday night and had a fantastic win of 2-10 to 2-1 over a strong and physical Avoca team. They more than matched their opponents in all areas of the field and put on a superb display of point scoring. The win ensured the girls finished joint top of their group having won 5 out of 6 games and have made it through to the U14B County Final.

This is the first time an Éire Óg Camogie team have made it to a county final and is a major milestone for the club. It's a result of the great skill, grit, and determination the girls have shown over the last couple of months, as well as the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in Camogie in Eire Og over the last number of years. The final is against Donard and will be played on 27th September in Pearse Park Arklow. Looking forward to a big day for the club! See more pictures from the semi-final HERE.

Coaching & Games Online Autumn Education: Wicklow GAA Coaching & Games will be running a number of Online Foundation and Child Safeguarding courses over the Autumn. The course is aimed at beginner coaches and will enable participants to assist a coach in the organisation of activities to develop hurling, football, camogie or ladies' football. Most of the course is done online with a follow up practical face to face element in your club's region.

As part of the basic GAA Approved Foundation Course each person must complete a GAA Child Safeguarding Online Course before they receive certification. If you would like to book a place online for any of these courses please fill in this FORM below and a link will be sent to you to register for course.

Minor footballers bow out: It wasn’t to be for our minor footballers who were defeated by St Nick’s in the semi-final of the “A” championship earlier this week. In a pulsating game and despite scoring 4-10, they were beaten by four points. Nevertheless, it was a brave and gallant campaign. We look forward to seeing many of these lads progress to play at adult level for the club.
