Welcome to this week’s club news, Adult ladies’ footballers in championship win: A great victory for our adult ladies’ footballers last weekend. They got their championship campaign well and truly back on track with a great win away to St Pats. A sustained rally in the final quarter of the match saw them run out winners on score line of 7:11-3:05. 
Covid 19: Following the government’s announcement this week, the GAA is seeking clarification on a number of issues relating to the organisation of Gaelic games and activities. As soon as we get clarity on these issues, we will update our units. In the meantime, as games must now be played "behind closed doors", no more than 40 persons per team should be allowed access to games for the moment. This figure should include all players, management, coaches, ancillary backroom personnel and team officials. The full statement is available HERE. Also, it is extremely important that players and parents: - Complete the questionnaire every time they attend the club
- Use the provided hand sanitiser before and after playing
- Avoid unnecessary foreign travel
- Reply to all messages to ensure accurate attendance lists for contract tracing
- Advise regarding any changes in health status
- Arrive ready to play.
Senior hurling championship: Unfortunately, our senior hurlers were defeated by Bray in their second game in their championship group. Although the final score saw them defeated by nine points, this was a much closer game than that and they were well in contention approaching the final stages. The team will now need to beat Glenealy in order to advance to the knockout phase. Read the match report HERE. U14 Camogie: A great performance was put in by this team down in Avoca this week. They recorded a super win against tough opponents. The girls showed great belief and fought for every puck of the ball. Well doneall on such a wet miserable evening.
