Welcome to this week’s club news, U15 hurlers off to winning start: It was a win for our U15 boys’ hurlers in their opening championship match on Monday. Down in Barndarrig the team battled manfully to record a 8-05:4-05 victory. Next up for this team is a home match against Kilcoole on 17 August.  Senior hurlers off to a flyer: It was also a winning start for our senior hurlers who defeated Avondale in their opening championship encounter. This sets them up nicely for a tilt at county champions Bray Emmets on 16 August. For a match report on the Avondale victory click HERE. Adult camogie: Our junior camogie team have also been in championship action this week. Last night. (Tuesday) they played their opening match. Although the result didn’t go their way, they showed immense character and no little skill. Some pics from the match are available HERE. Tickets for adult men's football championship matches: Saturday, 8th August, 6:30 pm: Senior football v Kiltegan in Aughrim Sunday, 9th August, 2pm: Junior A football v Blessington in Roundwood. Once again attendance is limited. It's estimated that there will be approximately 35-40 tickets for supporters. If you'd like one, reply to the email address at the bottom. It's likely that the tickets will be oversubscribed. If this is the case, they will be a draw.
