Disappointment for both adult men’s football teams: It was a disappointing return to action for both our adult men’s football team’s in their opening championship matches last weekend. The senior team (below) were defeated by Newtown 2:10-0:12 while our Junior A team were defeated by Ashford 1:19-2:10. Nevertheless both teams will live to fight another day. Match report from the senior game is available HERE  Weekly lotto: The winning numbers in this week’s weekly lotto draw were 1, 3, 4 & 24. The weekly cash prize winners were Eoin McHugh and Joe Mitchell. Tickets for this Monday’s draw are available HERE. Minor boys footballers defeated: I’m afraid our minor boys’ footballers did fair any better this week in their opening championship match either. They were beaten on a score-line of 2-11:1-08. They will aim to get their campaign back on the road with a home fixture against Blessington at 7pm this coming Monday (27th). Junior hurlers down Arklow: On a brighter note results wise, our junior (second) adult men’s hurling team won their championship opener against Arklow on Wednesday. In what was a great team performance special mention goes to teenager Luke Dorgan, playing his first competitive match at adult level he bagged an impressive 2-03.
