Welcome to this week’s club news, U13 hurlers win league: Our U13 hurlers travelled to Carnew last week to play their final league match. In what was a competitive game, our lads managed a great victory to make it nine wins from nine games to secure the league title for 2019. This is great bunch of young men who have worked hard on and off the pitch on their hurling skills and they are a credit to themselves, their families and the club.  Adult football: It’s been a mixed bag for our three adult football teams of late. Last weekend the Senior and Junior A teams were defeated in their championship matches to Avondale and Barndarrig respectively. However, the Junior C (3rd team) won division 5 by beating Hollywood. Captain Willie O’Hagan was presented with the trophy and made this fine acceptance SPEECH. Camogie catch-up: Lots of camogie activity of late. The U12 team (below) played Avoca last week. It was a super game with lots of blocks, hooks, pick-ups, and scores on display as the girls showcased all they’ve learned in training for the season. The U8s & U10s were also on action when they participated in a blitz in Kiltegan.  Minor hurling: At this level, the club combines with our neighbours in Kilcoole in order to ensure that we have sufficient numbers to compete. Last week, the team played their first league game of the year. They came away with a victory too; 2-16; 2-05 against Kiltegan.  Lotto: Please don’t forget our weekly lotto. Last week’s winning numbers were: 11, 14, 15 & 22. The weekly cash prize winners were Declan O’Mahony and Tony Murtagh. Tickets available HERE.
