Welcome to this week’s club news,

GO Games Blitz: The ever popular Go Games blitzes are continuing apace. Go Games give boys and girls the opportunity to learn the skills of hurling and football in a fun and non-competitive way. Last Friday, it was football with Newtown playing host.

Weekly lotto: Tonight’s jackpot is €12,000. All you have to do is match the four numbers and the cash is yours. The winning numbers in last week’s draw were 2, 4, 11 & 20. Gerry Walsh and Phil O’Sullivan were the weekly cash prize winners. We generate only about a third of our income from club fees, the rest we fundraise of which our lotto is the main source. So please do consider supporting by getting your tickets HERE.

Minor magic: Wicklow minor footballers advanced to the quarter-final of the Leinster football championship with a comprehensive victory over Louth last week. Our club had a whopping nine players on the panel. So well down to Eoin O'Neill, Joe Prendergast, Thade Shanahan, Cian Hynes, Daniel Healy, Luke Dorgan, Conor Fulham, Roy Byrne and Neill Brown.

Fencing: Please take care down at the club this week. In our ongoing attempts to improve our facilities we’re replacing the fencing around the pitches. This means that there is some disruption and machinery which need to be avoided!

Juvenile coaching seminar: Paul Kilgannon will be at the clubhouse on Tuesday, 28th May at 8pm. Paul is a renowned expert on coaching children in sport. This is a great opportunity to get insights on best practice and hear about the latest trends in coaching juveniles.

Camogie: A Saturday morning visit to the grounds will show one that camogie is alive and well within the club.  There will be seen in the region of 80 players between 8 and 14 years thoroughly enjoying themselves as they are guided through the various skills of the sport.  The fruits of this are beginning to show with the club having teams participating in u-8, u-10 and u-12 (pictured below) blitzes and the u-15s having finished off a very productive run in the Dublin League with a win over Raheny.
