Welcome to this week’s club news, Minor football champions: The news of the week is that yesterday, our Minor U17 boys football team claimed the “A” football championship. They defeated Baltinglass in Arklow in a pulsating contest with the final score 5:09-2:14. This is a landmark achievement and only the third time in the club’s history that we’ve won this prestigious title. It follows on from our victories in 2009 & 2010. We scored two late goals to secure victory in what was a thrilling and sporting contest.
