Welcome to this week’s club news, Cul camps: The extraordinarily popular Cul camps hit Greystones for the next two weeks. The football camp is now totally sold out. However, there are a few spots left on the hurling/campogie camp which starts next Monday. Online booking has now closed, but if you’re still interested you can contact the camp co-ordinator. Details HERE. Weekly lotto: Did you know that the club only generates 25% of its income from club membership fees? This rest we fundraise, of which are weekly lotto is our main source. Last week’s winning numbers were 2,8,17 &19. The weekly cash prize winners were Kathleen Kelleher and Andrea Gummersbach. Monday’s jackpot is €12,000. Get your tickets HERE. Senior hurlers lose championship opener: Our senior adult hurlers were defeated by St Pats in Bray on Monday on a score of 1-13: 0-10 in the opening round of the championship. While this is a disappointing result, there are several other matches in this group stage where they can regain ground. Read match report HERE. Ladies footballers in county action: Hats off to club players Abbie Smullen, Aisling Roche, Jane Merrin and Eva Sterrit who lined out for the Wicklow U14s in a blitz in Carlow this week. The team won all their group matches and were narrowly defeated in the final. All excelled themselves despite the searing heat!
County U17 footballers: Good luck to Wicklow minors in Leinster semi-final replay this weekend evening in Aughrim. Beir bua Fionn O’Carroll, Shaun Cranley, Daire Devine and all the squad & management Yours in sport, Daniel English (englishdaniel@hotmail.com) >
