Welcome to this week’s club news, Painters required! We made great progress last Saturday painting the clubhouse. We’re planning to finish the job off over the next two Saturdays. So we really need volunteers between 11-2pm. No experience required, just enthusiasm!
Weekly lotto: Alan Maxwell and Ciara Patrick picked up this week’s cash prizes in our lotto. The winning numbers were 3, 12, 19 & 24. Monday’s jackpot is €12,000. Just match the four numbers and the cash is yours. Get your €2 tickets HERE. Adult camogie team battling on two fronts: The adult camogie team must be the toughest in the club. This year, the ladies are playing in two leagues across two counties; Wicklow and Dublin. Last weekend, they travelled to the Phoenix Park where they put up a gutsy display against a strong strong Na Gael Óga.
Junior football team fall to Annacurra: This year has seen the return of the Junior C football (third adults) football team. This team is an opportunity for young and not so young players to game together and get regular matches. Last week they travelled to Annacurra where they put in a strong performance despite losing 2-13: 2-07. Read match report HERE. Fun in the sun: Our U8 & U10 camogie teams had a glorious day down in Ballinakill this week when they participated in a blitz. It was the perfect weather for them to showcase the many skills of camogie and to work on their tans!
Yours in sport, Daniel English (englishdaniel@hotmail.com)
